Welcome To Ratzo Rescue's Testimonials

"We are delighted with our two new squeakers, Coco and Bingo.  They are healthy, inquisitive, very well-socialized and endlessly entertaining!  The pick-up of our ratties was as promised:  the cages were clean, the rats were as pictured on the website, and there were no surprises.  We were very impressed with the obvious love and care that Hollie has given all her ratties.  Thank you!"

"I am a 10 year old girl who bought 3 older rattie's and 1 baby from Hollie. Her rattie's houses were SOOO clean!! All the rats  were very nice and it was very hard to choose. The rats that I got adjusted VERY well.  You can tell Hollie loves her rattie's very much! If you would like a rat that loves you very, very much I would go to Hollie!"

Ratzo Rescue was a very positive experience for both my daughter and I!  Hollie truly made a little girl happy!  She was very accommodating to us and let us hold all the rats until we could decide on the ones for us.  Hollie was genuinely excited for her rats to go to their new home with us.  The one thing my daughter will never forget is the McDonald's Parties!  She never wants to disappoint her girls!  Thank you for being the Pied Piper to all the rats!

"It takes a special person to do what Hollie does. I adopted my first hairless rat from her and I was very impressed with her rescue business. Her rat room (which I think she should call her "Rattic" because it's in her attic) was impressively well kept for how many rats it held. She does a great job at making the room smell fresh and look tidy for all of her rat friends, even though the floor is a little worn out. All of the rats looked happy and healthy, and adopting one felt so much better than buying one at a pet store. I would highly recommend Ratzo Rescue if you're looking for a pet rat."

"I have adopted some wonderful new rats. Hollie introduced me to her great little habitat for them. I was truly amazed at how well these ratty's have it. I'm jealous, they eat better then I do! only because I tend to eat junk, but thanks to my rats I now eat soy and nuts too. Speedo is a little boy rat of 6 mos old and I could not be happier with him, he is a love and is just the CUTEST little thing. Hollie is very educated in her rat field and is a godsend to these animals. She is definitely the one to go to and to ask questions of. Thank you Hollie!"

"I had an amazing experience at Ratzo Rescue. Hollie's attic is positively FULL of rattie's who are ready for love and fun. There were so many of them, and many different ages, I had no trouble finding the one I wanted, as well as TWO MORE! My rat recently lost her sister, but now she has two new playmates who are friendly and energetic, and my boyfriend adopted himself a big boy rattie! We are really excited about our new friends,Thanks Ratzo Rescue!!!!!"

"I had to give up my rattie's due to moving to a place where they are illegal to have. I found homes for many of them, but still needed a good place for the remaining dozen or so to go. I got Hollie's email address and got in contact with her- she always responded in a timely manner and made me feel like it would be a good place for my rattie's to be. Then I made the trip up to her place (a long commute for me) and got to see where she keeps her own ratzo's! And instantly I knew it was a perfect home. The rattie attic is air conditioned, clean, and full of fun places for rattie's to explore!! All her cages were immaculately kept and organized- with lots of toys!, and the rats were all in good coat and looked well taken care of. Plus lots of treats sitting around waiting for empty bellies! Hollie really cares about each and every one of these ratzo's, and loves them all. She keeps up to date on rat health and has a vet who she is close with, as well as a pet store owner whom she gets supplies from. I had a great feeling upon leaving that even though my rattie's were no longer going to be in my care, they would be in Hollie's hands- and I had no worries."

"Thank God I found Ratzo Rescue. I live in Rochester, NY and called around to many pet stores to see if anyone knew of a rat rescue and they gave me the Ratzo Rescue web site address. That's where i found their phone number and I called and left a message. Within 30 minutes Hollie called me back and we talked. Later that day I went to her house where she keeps her rats in a finished attic. I was most surprised to see the vast amount of rats and all in mint condition, each with more toys than the average child. After i saw how clean the place was and how happy her rats were i knew this was the place to surrender my little friends. I have been nervous for a while about giving them up and what might happen to them, but after i saw Hollies attic, i was put totally at ease. Thank you so much Hollie, not only for taking my rats in but for also sending me periodic emails to let me know how my rattie's are doing."

"I have known about Ratzo Rescue for over a year, had
met Hollie and seen how well she cares for her own
rattie's and the rescues she had at the time. This
year, when the time came for a vacation trip, I
arranged for Hollie to foster my rattie's for a week.
(one of my girls decided to stay home, so escaped
before she could be transported... happily she is home
again, well and sassy). Hollie took marvelous care of
my little bratty rattie... and I succumbed to GGMR
(gotta get more rattie's) when I returned and found she
has more rescues... So now I have 4 instead of 2.. and
all are much more friendly and easy to handle.

It is immediately apparent that she loves her
animals, and has the knowledge and capability to care
for them extremely well. Every cage is clean, every
critter is handled daily, their food and health
carefully monitored. (Well, she might spoil 'em a
little... but that's what rattie's are for... hehe).
And for those who might have concerns, she has a vet
that specializes in small animals to care for any
illness or injury that might occur, rare as that seems
to be in her house.

I am well satisfied, and have no hesitation in
recommending her ... either as a foster during
vacation, or as a rescue if you really REALLY can't
keep your rattie. She will care for them as if they
were her own.. and in the case of rescues, make sure
they find responsible and loving owners. Give her a
call, or drop an email... "
